10-Year Impact Report
In 2010 the Children and Families Commission of Orange County celebrated 10 years of making a difference in the lives of young children, and publishing an impact report highlighting major accomplishments that the Commission, along with our community partners, has achieved in areas of children’s health, school readiness, and childhood safety.
At a time when state government and local organizations are financially stretched to the limit, this report demonstrates how the Commission’s funds have been invested wisely, to maximize the impact of services for children and their families, and to create sustainable programs.
It is a strong affirmation of the strength and effectiveness of the many partnerships the Commission has created with the community to address local needs and priorities. Together, we have improved the health and school readiness of hundreds of thousands of Orange County’s children. Yet the report is also a clarion call for continued action. Even as it highlights our collaborative accomplishments to date, it lays bare the urgent need to work even harder to ensure that all children have the opportunity to “Grow Up Great.” We hope it piques your interest and reaffirms your support for these incredible programs and the many children who depend on them.
